just one matter


The mathematician and philosopher Gian-Carlo Rota (1932-1999) said that "every lecture should make only one main point".

  1. I have always thought that about sermons, too. I was trained to write and deliver the traditional "three point sermon", but I have found that one point, with three really rousing illustrations is better. And a single story is the best yet.
